Wills and Probate

Wills

Your Will is a very important document. Not only does it ensure that your wishes are carried out to your specific instructions, it can also avoid a lot of problem and additional costs for your family should you die ‘intestate’ without a Will.

We are experienced in drafting Wills and can guide you to ensure that you cover all of the major items that need to be addressed.

With the increase in property values over the past few years, more and more people have assets which exceed the Inheritance Tax threshold.

At the moment 40% tax is payable on the excess above £325,000, although this threshold set to increase. Drafting a Will can in most cases reduce the amount of tax that may be liable from your estate.

Our Solicitors are experienced in the following areas:

  • Grant of Probate
  • Intestacy
  • Letters of Administration
  • Inheritance Tax Advice
  • Estate Planning
  • Wills
  • Deeds of Variation
  • Enduring Powers of Attorney
  • Trusts
  • Administration of Estates Act (NI) 1955

Probate

Many people don’t know what happens upon death when a Will is not made. Our Wills & Probate Solicitors can help you with all aspects of making a Will and help you with Estate Administration issues in the absence of a valid Will.

The Wills & Probate Solicitors team have a vast amount of experience dealing with all issues relating to Wills, Probate & Estate Administration matters.
